En avant-première à BarceloneLe 1er SERAMON® dédié à la chirurgie robotiqueEn direct sur le stand Serag-Wiessner n° 118 · EACTS, 7–10 octobre

New · Serag-Wiessner

SERAMON® robotic.

The suture designed 100%
for robotic surgery.

At the first stitch, the needle passes through the loop.

The sliding knot tightens: the running suture is anchored. No initial knot to tie with the robot.

Designed for robots.

Born in the robotic OR of the Deutsches Herzzentrum der Charité, Berlin, with Prof. Jörg Kempfert. For intracorporeal suturing on your robot.

For the surgeon

One knot fewer.
With a robot, it counts.

With a robot, every knot is tied at a distance, with instruments, without force feedback1. SERAMON® robotic comes with its first knot already tied: a loop and a sliding knot made during manufacturing. At the first stitch, the needle passes through the loop and the running suture is anchored.

  • First knot securedloop and sliding knot pre-tied during manufacturing
  • HR-22 needlehalf circle, round body, 22 mm
  • 15 cm suturefor intrathoracic use, without excess
  • SERAMON, USP 3/0solid PTFE, non-absorbable

The loop and its knot

Already tied, ready to use.

At the first stitch, pass the needle through the loop: the knot tightens and anchors the running suture.

The needle

HR-22.

22 mm half circle, round body, swaged to SERAMON USP 3/0 thread.

The best way
to form an opinion:
try it.

We make the suture available to your team for an evaluation in the OR, under an agreement with your hospital pharmacy, and we come to present it to you.

For the OR team

One suture,
one step fewer.

Ready to use

The anchoring knot is tied during manufacturing: nothing to prepare on the table.

The right length

15 cm: the right length for intracorporeal robotic suturing, with no excess thread.

Atrial appendage closure

At the end of the procedure, robotically. Also for the aorta and the atrium.

SERAMON

Solid PTFE monofilament: supple, with low memory2.

1. “Touching sensation of robotic arms is rudimentary”: Structural Heart 2020, doi 10.1080/24748706.2020.1715163. 2. SERAMON® instructions for use; Serag-Wiessner sheet 851145; because of the smooth thread surface, additional knots may be needed on tissue under tension (IFU).

The origin

Born in the robotic OR
of the Charité.

Serag-Wiessner developed it with Prof. Jörg Kempfert and the robotic cardiac surgery team of the Deutsches Herzzentrum der Charité (DHZC), Berlin, where it is used robotically.
